Haiti Earthquake

 
The news coming out of Haiti is devastating, and  I know many of you would like to help. UMCOR is a wonderful way to get needed supplies to the area. You will be able to donate money on Sunday January 17, 2010 that will go directly to Haiti. Every penny you give will be used for relief. You can make a check out to Tracyton UMC and designate it for "Haiti relief",

Haiti Emergency: A Major Earthquake Hits Haiti

A major earthquake hit Port-au-Prince, Haiti causing widespread destruction. Millions of people are affected and thousands are feared dead. UMCOR is assessing the needs and preparing to respond. United Methodists have had a long-standing relationship with Haiti through the Methodist Church of Haiti. The strong ties between the Methodist Church of Haiti and The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) helped in facilitating the opening of the UMCOR Haiti field office in 2005.
